Macanudo - Emissary France
The Macanudo Emissary series began with the Espana, a cigar made with a unique twist of tobacco from Caceres, Spain, known for its rocky soil that grows peppers, olive trees, and tobacco! The Espana was an incredible cigar that wowed folks across the globe, and the next entry into the Emissary series is set to make the same big splash!
The Macanudo Emissary France takes everything that made the Espana good and turns the dial up to eleven. The blend begins with a 10-year-aged Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, covering a 10-year-aged US Broadleaf binder, and a four-country cocktail of aged long-fillers, including a leaf from France grown between the border of Spain and the Bordeaux. The result is an ultra-complex and nuanced flavor profile with notes of dried red fruit, underlying sweetness, floral character, light breadiness, and just a hint of spice.
Macanudo Emissary France received a 95-rating and was named the #12 Cigar of 2025, with the review noting: "The unique blend shines in this Churchill, a dark cigar that marries bold notes of leather and black pepper with sweeter impressions of coffee bean and cocoa."

The Cold Draw :
The flavors are of coca nib, dried jalapeño, chickory, clove, Bing cherry, tobacco, blood orange, and parsley
Flavors
1st :
Initial puffs from this cigar have notes of fermented green tea, clove, Rainear cherry, Maricona almond, alfalfa, and 68% dark Chocolate
2nd:
The second third brings more unique flavors to this cigar, like black apricot, mint chocolate, camembert cheese, Worcestershire sauce, vanillin, long pepper, and grape leaf
3rd:
The last third has a spicier finish with white pepper, allspice, and clove—a sweet complexity from milk chocolate, vanillin, cherry wood, peach blossom, and earth notes from brown onion, cedar, and ameranth finishing with a delicate orchid
The Draw :
I did a large V cut, but I should have done a straight cut. The draw is constant and smooth, with no resistance, but I do purge a few times.
The Burn :
The burn is consistent and even with no need to be relit.
There is a mild to high smoke output from this cigar
The Appearance :
It was wrapped with two labels: one featuring their logo in gold, all in gold, on a metallic royal blue background, and another with what looks like the coastline of France at the bottom, which you need to remove before lighting.
The Cigar is a mild brown capachino color with no cracking or oily shine to it, and consistent in color
Final Thoughts:
