Gurkha - Pure Evil

Gurkha Pure Evil Cigars go beyond luxury and create a class all on its own, building a wholly unique and abundantly satisfying smoking experience. Gurkha has long been king when it comes to opulent, grandly made cigars, and the Pure Evil more than lives up to that legacy. This robust, powerful smoke is built with expertly aged Nicaraguan tobacco, capped with a polished Dominican binder, and lovingly rolled into a thick, leathery Brazilian wrapper loaded with flavor. Each one of its three sizes is intensely layered with notes of pepper, roasted nuts, oak, earth, and sweet cedar all with a lovely floral aroma. Don't let the name fool you, the Gurkha Pure Evil is as good as it gets!

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano

Binder: Nicaraguan

Filler: Nicaraguan

Size: 5"x 52 Robusto

The Cold Draw :

The draw has notes of bing cherry, red currant, baked Marion berry, black apple, cocoa powder, navel orange, vanilla, back cardamom, and toast

Flavors

1st :

Initial puffs from this cigar have notes of cream, lime leaf, pine, orange blossom, pinion nut, cinnamon, and birch wood

2nd:

The second third brings more earthy notes, such as clay, chicory, nettle, Melba toast. Notes of tamer and, goji berry, are present but very delicate, along with hints of steamed white rice and sal de mer.

3rd:

The last third has a worming spice finish with notes of clove, cedar, wool, long pepper and cilon cinnamon. Fruit nots of Cara Cara orange and gooseberry are present along with hay and thyme to round out this cigar.

The Draw :

I did a V cut. The draw is constant and smooth, with no resistance, but I do purge a few times.

The Burn :

The burn is consistent and even with no need to be relit.

There is medium - high smoke output from this cigar

The Appearance :

The cigar it self has a medium brown with a hint of red to it and carries some thick, but well pressed veins. The seams are smooth and the caps well applied.

The band is black, silver and red and has a holographic skull and has the name Gurkha above it.

Final Thoughts:

68 Points

If you are looking for a cigar that has no thrills about it, or a 45 minute to hour and a half smoke this is it, the f;Avon’s are hard to get out of and smoked two back to back just to get any flavor notes to be dusernable.

I would not recommend this for flavor but just to smoke and not care about what you are smoking.
